Janaprith Fernando

President & Director of Bookbridge Sri Lanka

Janaprith is best known for his active involvement in the Scout Movement. He is currently a Member of the World Scout Committee and the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association. Professionally, Janaprith is an Attorney-at-Law. He holds many other positions such as the Presidency of the Centre for Leadership and Talent Development in Sri Lanka.

He is the pioneer in bringing BOOKBRIDGE to Sri Lanka. He initiated the BOOKBRIDGE movement being as the main contact person to sign MOU with Sri Lanka Scouts. 

He became the President of BOOKBRIDGE Sri Lanka in 2020 and leading the board with all his experiences.

Abdullah Rasheed

Had worked extensively in the Education sector for over 20 years and specialising in small island nation educational planing followed by as National Election Commissioner. Worked as Adviser for the UNDP regional project - South Asia Poverty Alleviation programme and as Assistant Representative in UNDP Maldives. In the most recent past worked as the Regional Director for the World Organization of the Scout Movement based in Manila for over 11 years covering all 26 countries of Asia pacific with over 29 million scout members..

Had traveled widely within Asia Pacific for over 1500 travel days to over 80 countries. Hold a post graduate degree along with Hons degree in Economics

Sujitha Miranda

Director & CEO of Bookbridge Sri Lanka

Sujitha leads BOOKBRIDGE Sri Lanka as CEO and Country Manager for Bookbridge Global.

She is the first Community Hero in the country and was promoted to Country Manager in 2018. Professionally She is an educational journalist for the leading newspaper - Sunday Times. 

Her responsibilities comprise motivating the Community Heroes and their team, ensuring their skills development and pursuing administrative tasks. She supports and trains the Community Heroes in the country. 

Being our first social entrepreneur in Sri Lanka, Sujitha rapidly developed her entrepreneurial skills and is Country Manager for Sri Lanka since 2018.
